Re: New map from yeshead
"Teamwork" is quite an interesting map. I've just finished this map, and I'd like to share my impression and feeling with you, Yeshead. This may be a spoiler to other players, so I will hide it under spoiler tags.
To tell the truth, I love this map and I'm thinking of improving it, if you allow me to do that, and of course, if I'm lucky to find out a possible way to do that
- Spoiler:
- In my opinion, one-way traffic sometimes would make a map harder, but sometimes using it much would show its weakness. For example, I think D5 and E8 should not be cracking squares, because D12 is enough.

It's an pretty good map, perhaps the best one since a lot of time !
So much possibilities, but only one is good ! I thought there would be backdoors at first, but there's none in the end. Keep on creating maps, you've got lots of talent !

Re: New map from yeshead
Hi.
With Yeshead's permission, I've made some modifications to this map. Here is our new version of "Teamwork", with its new title "A well full of water". We hope you will find it interesting to play. Thank you again, Yeshead, for your kindness and co-operation.
Have a nice weekend, you guys!

Hi nomad!
The left part is much harder, no doubt about it. A week to find the solution.
Now, I surely need another week to find how to finish the right part!

Hi Patapin!
It's good to hear you've found some fun from the left part. Actually, there is two different ways to solve it. I'm thinking of changing stone G2 into wall, 'cause it is allowing us to destroy D2 with the boys swimming in the well, that would make our left part easier somehow, I think. Otherwise, I just want to keep the proportion in designing. This is such a difficult choice to me! What do you think?

Re: New map from yeshead
I needed this stone to solve this part. If you change it into a wall, I'll be stuck. And it would force me to think differently. Why not? It's worth a try.
And to keep the symetry, you can also change stone O2 into a wall. Or O4.

I've made a slight change to this map. Have fun!
@Patapin: I'd love to change O2 into a wall as your suggestion, but when I took a look back, I saw there was not much symmetry between the two parts, so I decided to do above changes

You'll find the solution soon, I believe

Re: New map from yeshead
Right!
168 steps.
I find your new version very interesting, full of surprises, and a solution completely different from the other versions. Bravo!
As there are a few difficult timings (especially near the end), I propose a slight modification. Excatly in the middle of the map, replace an ice floor by a bronze floor (J8).
It would become:
What about that?
You'll find this map attached.

Re: New map from yeshead
Congrats, Patapin. I'm glad to see you love this map. Your number of steps is amazing indeed. I'll try to beat it
- Spoiler:
- Now, about your modification, I think it's not necessary to put a bronze floor J8 in the well. It'd break the well's continuity and make some avoidable notice. Besides, I think the timing is not too hard to decide. Actually, J15 has something to do with 9 o'clock direction and 12 o'clock direction, too. That's all. We'll just need 4 or 5 attempts to help Grabber do some healthy exercises without bronze floor J8, right?

Re: New map from yeshead
Well, of course it would break the well continuity. We could say J8 is a bucket!
This last timing is very hard, no place for a mistake. In a mapset, it is the time to use the "save" function. But, in editor mode, it is not possible.

I love this idea. I think we could use it after discussing the need of it.Patapin a écrit:We could say J8 is a bucket!

Could you please pm and tell me what this fatal mission is? In my solution, I just cope only one danger when using 9-o'clock-direction timing, but I can do this anytime in any stage of the map.
